I know what I have gone through, being a mother of a child diagnosed with Autism. I cannot imagine what it must be like for a single parent to raise an autistic child, or be a Military family with an autistic child.
My prayers go out to these brave and wonderful people!
Everyday for an Autistic individual is quite a struggle. They like routine and organization. What must it be like for a family that is constantly moving and changing? What kind of resources do the Military Families have for Autism?
As I have said before, the holidays are difficult for Sarah. What would it have been like if we had been in the Military? Or if I had been a single mom?
I hear more support for a single mom with a child with autism than I do for Military families. What if you are a single mom in the Military with a child diagnosed with Autism?
I don't have the answers but I do have prayers and there are resources (not very many) out there that I feel led to share, in the hopes that it might help you brave and wonderful parents.
